Exchange Theory
Normally when speaking about exchanges, our/ human mind is inclined to hear about commodity exchange//exchange of goods. However, exchange theory has extended the discussion further to things other than goods. It believes that “the term exchange refers to trading material or nonmaterial objects that are considered as the basis of the social system” (Adibi, 1358: 225).
